Initiate by Daniel Nugraha S.Ds, M.Sn for his Fine Art Class students. This showcase will display any art form from his students and the teacher himself. The main participants on this showcase are students that currently active in the class with age range from kids to senior. They are Daniel Nugraha S.Ds, M.Sn, Anastasia, Daniel Slamet K, Indah Listaria, Kevan, Kevin, Rosalina Osman, Yohanna Mauw, and Zylah. With all of them comes from variety educational background but art school.
Run from June 17th 2023 until June 26th 2023 on Artland Mall Kelapa Gading 2nd Floor. Most art form submitted to the showcase are 2D paintings and drawings with Pencil, Ink, Acrylic and Watercolor as the medium. There are also Fabric Painting, 3D art work and New Art style.
Art Gallery Showcase kicked off with two Workshop hosted by the student itself. The first one is Portrait Watercolor for Beginner by Indah Listaria and the second one is Fabric Painting by Yohanna Mauw. With maximum participant five person for each class, The Workshop cost IDR 125.000,00 the price including the paper, watercolor, and brush for two hour class.
Then exactly at four o’clock we started the celebration. The opening starts with words from The Initiator and The General Coordinator. With guests of closer relatives and friends, we play games. We print out parts of the paintings and show it to the audience. Based on that they need to mention the title and the artist of the painting. It was a little chaotic cause they run here and there to find which paintings the questions refer to. The games happened for quite awhile coz we have lots of gift and rewards to share.
After those small exercise, we cool down with music. Dumbledore said “There’s nothing more magical than music.” Two songs sang by our special guest The Brother and Sister. And finally we finished the celebration by good food.
And that’s the end of day one. Next is the showcase itself. We promised to visit the gallery when we have time. We decide which participant to come each day. This is to make sure the guest will get a best assistance while enjoying the artwork. We also hired two experienced Gallery Assistance to help us give a little tour at the gallery and even ask them to join the little game - Where’s the fifth egg? This also comes with gift and rewards.
All the guest visited the gallery then recorded in Guest Book. Then when it finished we picked three person to get another gift. We picked them using random number app.
And that’s the end of our long awaited showcase. We planned this for months, we end it with a more experience and hope for a better showcase in the future.
